If you have any clothes or items that need basic repairs, alterations or hemming, local seamstress Sharon Coombs ( Sew over the Richmond) will have her sewing machine at the ready to assist.

Calling on all crafters, bring your projects and join in.

No experience necessary to get involved. From 12:30 - 4:00pm, pop in for alterations and crafting. It will be sew much fun!

This weekend we are running this exciting and great program with renowned and award winning educator Sue Lennox. This will kick start a range of youth projects in our community - so get involved !

The program is designed to support youth into leadership roles and enable them to have the confidence to run local projects. We are also including opportunities for adults to be involved in this program who are interested to help build support frameworks for our local young people in out community.

It's targeted at anyone over the age of 12 or people interested at working with youth. Get in contact now if you would like to join in.

Open Mic Sunday Session is growing and moving to The Wardell Hall.

Hi there movers and shakers, mark your calendars for this weekend and Wardell’s next monthly Open Mic Sunday, 27th August from 1 to 5pm.

PA, Microphones and a small drum kit will be provided. We encourage everyone, and all ages and styles to get up and show their passion and talent in a laid back friendly environment.

Accidental Counsellor Foundations

This will be both great as a bridging program for anyone who has done the SAFEtalk and "trauma awareness programs" with us already.

This course is essential for anyone who is keen to develop skills and confidence to support their friends and family through difficult time.

Produce bags come in three sizes for different family sizes and we offer costs recovery at a sliding scale so you can opt to pay at a rate you can afford.

Disasters are disruptive to one's state of normalcy, including daily routines, activities of daily living, employment, transportation, housing, and social relations.

Disasters can take a serious toll on the mental health of individuals and our communities at large. Disasters don't happen and then conclude; they are termed "disasters" because they have far-ranging and long-standing impacts on people's lives and it is well known that at a year to 18 months after a catastrophe that untreated or unrecognised trauma presents as increasing anxiety and worsening depression.

While in many instances access to help and mental health support after a disaster is often really challenging - we are fortunate to be able to offer constant and FREE support.

Wardell’s Wellbeing Program offers a dedicated space for professional counselling services and qualified mental health supporters for the community and Wardell district.

Our facilities and programs are an essential asset for our community’s recovery and mental health. We are privileged to have the support of supported by Healthy North Coast to be able to provide this safe and welcoming space and offer a range of support with our amazing team of registered counsellors and mental health workers.

We provide a drop-in centre, appointments on demand and referral services available 5 days a week.

We can also offer outcalls and outreach or consultation by phone. Our mental health services are free, discreet and confidential.

You can come and talk to our professional team at any time for help, advice or support or just drop in for a cuppa and a chat.
